Healthcare marketing challenges
Health services can't advertise the way other businesses do. As a healthcare marketing agency, we see the same four problems in clinics, practices and health tech companies, and most of them come back to the rules on what an ad can say.
Testimonials and reviews are restricted
Ads for regulated health services can't use testimonials about symptoms, diagnosis, treatment or outcomes. Reusing or selectively editing patient reviews can count as advertising, and fines now reach $60,000 per offence for individuals and $120,000 for companies.
Prescription medicines can't be named
TGA rules stop health service ads referring to prescription medicines, directly or indirectly. That covers nicknames, abbreviations, imagery and booking flows that steer people to a treatment, and it hits telehealth, weight loss and cosmetic clinics hardest.
Measuring booked appointments
What a practice needs is a booked appointment with the right practitioner. Many patients book online, often through a third-party booking platform, so tracking that stops at the website form misses the bookings that matter.
Offers and claims need care
Offers must spell out their terms, "free" has to mean free, and only practitioners with specialist registration can be called specialists. Claims about results need evidence, which rules out a lot of standard ad copy.
What Foresight solves for healthcare
Search that fills the right diary
Google Ads and SEO built around your services, locations and practitioners, so campaigns push the appointments you have room for and ease off when a practitioner's books are full.

Copy and creative written to the rules
We write ads and landing pages to the AHPRA advertising guidelines and TGA rules from the first draft: no clinical testimonials, no named prescription medicines, offers with their terms. Anything borderline goes to your indemnity insurer or legal adviser before launch.

Tracking from click to booked appointment
We connect your ads to your booking system and phone calls, so you see cost per booked appointment and new patient by service and location, beyond clicks and form fills.

Demand generation for health tech
For health tech, the buyer is the clinician or practice manager. We run Google, Meta, LinkedIn and programmatic campaigns with creative that speaks to how practices really work, then track trials and demos through to revenue.

How we work as your healthcare marketing agency
Our medical marketing services cover the full digital mix: strategy, research, search, social media, websites and reporting. Every channel works to the same rules, and every claim is checked before it goes live.
- Strategy and research. Patient and clinician research, competitor reviews and a plan for each service and location. For MDA National we produced a strategy covering customer journey mapping and segmentation by junior doctor career stage.
- Search. Google Ads and SEO for the services, conditions and locations people search for, written to AHPRA and TGA rules.
- Social media. Meta, Instagram and LinkedIn campaigns that build trust with patients and referrers, with no clinical testimonials.
- Reporting. Cost per booked appointment and new patient by service and location, in one digital dashboard.
Website design and development for healthcare
AHPRA's advertising guidelines cover all electronic communication that promotes a regulated health service, and they name websites and social media as advertising. We design and build health websites that patients trust and that hold up to those rules.
Compliant from the first draft
Service pages with no testimonials about outcomes, practitioner titles that match their registration, and offers that state their terms.
Booking built in
Online booking from your practice software or booking platform on every service page, with tracking that records the booking.
Practitioner profiles
Each practitioner's qualifications, registration, interests and availability, so patients can choose who to see.
Privacy and security
Forms that collect only what you need, a clear privacy policy, and analytics set up so health information stays out of it.
Medical marketing for general practices
Most general practices want a full book of the right patients and a steady flow of new ones nearby. Patients usually choose a GP on location, availability, billing and the doctors' interests, so we make those easy to find.
- Google Business Profile and local SEO for each practice, with accurate hours, services and billing details
- Doctor profile pages that show areas of interest such as women's health, skin checks or children's health, worded to AHPRA rules
- Search ads for the appointment types you want more of, paused when diaries are full
- Clear billing information. Practices in the Bulk Billing Practice Incentive Program, which started on 1 November 2025, must advertise that they are fully bulk billing, including on Healthdirect's National Health Services Directory (RACGP). We keep that message consistent across your website, Google listing and ads.
Recruiting GPs and nurses matters too. We run recruitment campaigns that reach clinicians in your area, with the same tracking as your patient campaigns.

Questions
Can our clinic use patient reviews in its ads?
Only with care. AHPRA treats positive statements about symptoms, diagnosis, treatment or outcomes as testimonials, and they can't be used to advertise a regulated health service. Comments about customer service are fine. If you republish reviews, they must be complete and unedited, and you're responsible for review features on pages you control.
Can we advertise telehealth, weight loss or cosmetic services?
Yes, as long as the ad promotes the consultation and leaves the treatment open. TGA rules stop health service ads referring to prescription medicines in any form, including slang, abbreviations and imagery. Telehealth ads should also be clear about who is eligible for a Medicare rebate.
Do you work with health tech companies as well as clinics?
Yes. We've worked with medical software, e-prescribing, medical device and AI scribe companies on strategy, research, paid media and creative. Their buyers are clinicians and practice managers, so we plan the channels and creative around them.
