Google is where people go when they're ready to call, book or buy. As a Google Ads agency Melbourne and Australian businesses rely on, we put you in front of them at exactly that moment. Every account is checked every day with the help of AI, a person makes or approves every change, and every report shows you what your ads brought in. Clicks are nice. Enquiries are nicer!
How we do Google Ads better
Good Google Ads management is about more than keywords and bids. It's about:
- Choosing keywords by intent: the searches people make when they're ready to act, in the areas you serve
- AI checks on every account, every day, so a broken conversion or a runaway search term is caught the same day
- A person signing off every new campaign, ad, budget and bidding change before it goes live
- Judging results on settled numbers, because conversions keep arriving for days or weeks after the click
AI makes us quicker to spot problems. People decide what to do about them.
We manage Google Ads in five key areas. Scroll down or click one of the links below to learn more about each one:
Search campaigns
Search campaigns are the core of Google Ads for most Melbourne businesses, because they reach people at the moment they're looking. We choose keywords by what people mean when they search, in the suburbs and areas you actually serve, and review the real search terms every week, with our daily checks flagging new ones, so the ones that waste money get excluded fast.
Each group of keywords gets ads written for it and a landing page that matches what was searched. Ad relevance and landing page experience feed into Quality Score, which affects what you pay for every click. Google writes more ad copy automatically each year, so we also set the guidelines for what its AI may and may not say about you, and a person approves every ad before it runs.

Search ads
More than 5 trillion searches a year happen on Google. We make sure yours shows for the ones that bring in work.
AI Max for Search
Google's AI widens your keywords and writes extra copy. We switch it on with brand controls and text guidelines, then check every search term it brings in.
Ads in AI Overviews
Since late 2025, ads can show inside Google's AI Overviews in Australia. You can't target that spot directly, so strong keywords and landing pages matter more.
Microsoft Advertising
Bing handles around 9% of Australian searches, and it packs a punch. We can carry your best campaigns across to it.
Performance Max and Shopping
Performance Max runs your ads across Search, Shopping, YouTube, Display, Gmail and Maps from one campaign, with Google's AI choosing where to show them. It can work well, especially for online stores with a product feed, but left alone it tends to spend on the cheapest results it can find, including your own brand searches and low-quality placements.
We use it where it fits your goals, with the controls that keep it honest: brand exclusions, negative keywords, the right conversion goals and asset groups built around real products or services. Then we compare its results against your search campaigns, so it has to earn its share of the budget.

Performance Max
One campaign across all of Google, set up with the guard rails it needs.
Shopping campaigns
Product ads for online stores, built on a clean, well-titled product feed.
YouTube and Demand Gen
Video and image ads for reaching people before they search, where they make sense for your goals.
Display
Used for remarketing and testing, switched on only when it earns its place.
Google Ad Grants
Google Ad Grants gives each eligible not-for-profit up to US$10,000 a month in search ads on Google. It comes with its own rules: accounts need to keep a click-through rate of at least 5%, single-word keywords aren't allowed (with a few exceptions), and bids are capped unless you use smart bidding.
Most grant accounts we see spend a fraction of their allowance. We restructure them around the searches your supporters and clients actually make, keep them compliant, and track the actions that matter, from donations and sign-ups to bookings and calls.

Ad Grants management
Set up, restructured and kept compliant, so more of the grant is spent on searches that matter.
Tracking and reporting
If your tracking is wrong, Google's bidding learns the wrong lessons and spends accordingly. We check and set up Google Analytics 4 and Google Tag Manager, conversions for the things that matter (forms, calls, bookings and sales), call tracking, and where it fits, feeding back which enquiries became real work.
Each month you get a report that says what happened, why and what we're doing next, in plain English. Conversions keep arriving for days or weeks after the click, so we measure how long yours take to settle and compare like with like. A change is judged on real results.

GA4 and Tag Manager
Checked first, because every bidding decision relies on them.
Call tracking
So you can see which ads made the phone ring.
Monthly reports
What happened, why and what's next. No pages of charts to decode.
AI-assisted, approved by people
AI is built into how we run every Google Ads account. Our agents read the account every day: search terms, budgets, conversions, landing pages and policy warnings. They check what they find against your account's rule book, written from the strategy we agree and signed off by you. Small fixes the rule book allows, like excluding a search term that's wasting money, are made and logged with a one-click undo. Everything else waits for a person.
We use Google's own AI too, where it earns its place: smart bidding on conversions you can trust, AI Max for Search with text guidelines, and Performance Max with brand exclusions. Our daily checks watch what Google's AI does with your money, so it can't drift from the plan.

Daily account checks
Every search term, budget, conversion and landing page, checked every day, with problems raised the same day.
A rule book for your account
Targets, budgets and brand rules written from your strategy and signed off by you. Every check works to it.
Google's AI, with guard rails
Smart bidding, AI Max and Performance Max, set up with brand controls, text guidelines and the right conversion goals.
A person approves the big calls
New campaigns, ads, budgets and bidding changes always wait for a person's sign-off.

How much does a Google Ads agency cost?
Our Google Ads management starts at $3,000 a month, plus your ad spend. There are two costs: your ad spend, which goes to Google, and the agency's management fee. Agencies usually charge a fixed monthly fee, a percentage of ad spend, or a mix. We quote a fixed fee after looking at your account and goals.
How much should I pay someone to manage my Google Ads?
Our Google Ads management starts at $3,000 a month, plus your ad spend. Enough that someone checks the account often and has time to improve it, and not so much that the fee eats the budget that brings in enquiries. Ask what you get for the fee: how often the account is checked, who makes changes, and what the report shows. A cheap fee with no regular checking usually costs more in wasted spend.
Is $500 a month enough for Google Ads?
It can be, for a tightly focused local campaign in a field where clicks are cheap. Divide the budget by your typical cost per click: at $5 a click, $500 buys about 100 clicks a month, and if 5% of those enquire, that's around five enquiries. In fields where clicks cost $20 or more, $500 won't give Google enough data to learn. We'll tell you if your budget is too small to be worth managing.
Do you audit existing Google Ads accounts?
Yes, and it's where we start if you already run Google Ads. We look at how the campaigns are structured, which search terms you're paying for, whether conversion tracking counts the right things, how your landing pages perform, and where money is going without bringing in enquiries. You get the findings in plain English, with the fixes in order of what they're worth.
Who is a Google Ads expert in Melbourne?
There are many Google Ads agencies and freelancers in Melbourne. Foresight Digital is one, managing Google Ads for Melbourne and Australian businesses. When you compare, ask who will actually work on your account, how often it's checked, how changes are approved, and how results are measured.
How do I choose a Google Ads agency?
Look for an agency that checks your tracking before anything else, explains what it will change and why, reports in plain English, and doesn't lock you into a long contract before proving its value. Ask to see how a recent account was improved, and what they'd look at first in yours.
