Performance marketing agencies are simply digital marketing agencies that focus on the channels and activities that drive business outcomes: more leads, more sales and more profit. As a performance marketing agency, that is all we eat, sleep and dream about!
How we do digital marketing better
Performance marketing is about more than media buying and ad creative production. It's about:
- Deeply understanding your target audience and the digital channels they use
- Building a sustainable digital strategy that considers your business growth
- Checking every account every day with AI, with a person signing off every change
- Applying the relentless pursuit of excellence to serve you the results you deserve
Foresight is a performance marketing company built to drive sustainable growth.
We offer performance marketing in four key categories. Scroll down or click one of the links below to learn more about each of our marketing services:
Search engine advertising
Search engines are the consumer go-to for research, comparison and buying. Targeting by keyword gives brands a phenomenal opportunity to reach hyper-targeted intent: people looking for exactly what you sell, right now.
Most businesses we work with make their greatest returns from search engine marketing (also known as paid search). Search now includes AI answers too: ads can show inside Google's AI Overviews in Australia, and AI Max lets Google match your ads to searches beyond your keyword list. We use both with the controls that keep your budget on searches that bring in work.

Google Ads
With more than 5 trillion searches a year, Google is the most powerful bottom of funnel channel for most brands, and a crucial part of any digital marketing mix.
Bing Ads
Often missed by many a marketing agency because only around 9% of Australian searches happen on Bing. But Bing packs a punch: there's less advertiser competition for each click.
Pay per click advertising
Pay per click (PPC) advertising usually covers any digital marketing where you pay for each click, but the term tends to be used mainly for display and programmatic advertising, and sometimes search. It's often used as a more top of funnel channel for building your brand, but there are lots of ways to get extremely targeted with it.
As an agency, our strategy is to start with bottom of funnel channels before we tackle display (unless you're doing it already and it's working well for you!).

Google Display Ads
A great starting point for traffic campaigns where the aim is to gather data you can use in retargeting campaigns across other channels.
Programmatic
We place ads across display, native, digital out of home, podcast, connected TV and more. Our platform has no ad spend minimums, and its media partners offer placements a step above Google Display.
Creative, tracking and SEO
Ads are only as good as the creative in them and the tracking behind them. Our team makes ad creative built to be tested, and we set up Google Analytics 4 and conversion tracking so every dollar can be traced to an enquiry or a sale.
What many people don't realise is that search ads cost less when the landing page you send people to is better optimised. So what you do organically impacts your paid performance and revenue. That's why we also offer SEO and AI search optimisation, so you're found on Google and recommended in ChatGPT and Google's AI answers.

Ad creative
Statics, video and carousels for Meta, Google and TikTok, made in variations so the results tell us what works.
Tracking and analytics
GA4, Google Tag Manager, call tracking and conversion tracking, checked before we spend a dollar.
SEO
Technical fixes, content and links, so you rank for the searches you'd otherwise pay for.
AI search optimisation
Helping ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI Overviews find, trust and recommend your business.

How we plan a performance marketing campaign
Every campaign we run follows the same six steps. They're simple to describe and take real discipline to do well, which is where most of the gains come from.
Step 1: Clarify success metrics
Before we touch an ad account, we agree what success looks like for your business: a qualified lead, a booked appointment, a sale at a healthy margin. Then we set the metrics underneath it, such as cost per lead, cost per sale, conversion rate and the value of a new customer over time. Clicks and impressions are useful signals along the way, and the result is what we judge.
We also agree what a good result is worth to you. A business whose customers are worth thousands of dollars a year can afford to pay far more for a lead than one selling a $40 product, and the plan should reflect that.
Step 2: Check the tracking
Ad platforms learn from what you tell them is a conversion. If the tracking is wrong, the bidding learns the wrong lessons. So we check Google Analytics 4, conversion tracking and your CRM before we spend a dollar, and fix what's broken first.
Step 3: Choose the channels
We start where buyers are ready to act, usually Google search, then add social and display as the numbers allow. Each channel gets a clear job and its own targets, so you can see what each one adds.
Step 4: Build creative for testing
We write and make ads in deliberate variations: different offers, angles, opening lines and formats. Testing is planned up front, with one clear question per test, so every result teaches us something we can use in the next round.
Step 5: Scale what works
Our AI agents check every account every day, and our experts decide what to change. Budget moves towards the campaigns, audiences and ads bringing in the best results for your business.
Step 6: Report on business results
Each month you see what you spent, what it brought in and what we're changing next, measured against the success metrics we agreed in step one.
The metrics we report on
Every client gets the same core metrics, tailored to how their business makes money.
Cost per lead or sale
What each enquiry or order costs, by channel and campaign.
Conversion rate
How many visitors become leads or customers, and where they drop out.
Lead quality
Which enquiries turned into real work, fed back from your CRM where we can.
Revenue and margin
For online stores, the sales and profit behind the ad spend.
Customer lifetime value
What a new customer is worth over time, which sets how much you can afford to pay for one.
New customers
How many first-time customers each campaign brings in, so growth comes from people who hadn't bought before.
How to choose a performance marketing agency
The best performance marketing agency for you is one that cares about the same numbers you do. Questions worth asking before you sign:
- Which metrics will you report on, and how do they connect to my revenue?
- How do you plan testing, and how will I hear what each test showed?
- Who checks my accounts, and how often?
- Who approves changes before they go live?
- What will you do in the first month?
Look for an agency that talks about your business before it talks about its tools. Expert media buying matters, and the best performance comes from a team that also understands your margins, your sales cycle and your customers.
Performance marketing and brand marketing
Brand marketing builds the memory that makes people choose you later. Performance marketing turns that interest into measurable results today. The two work together: well-known brands usually find each lead or sale easier to win, and performance data shows which messages people respond to. We focus on performance, and we plan it with your brand work in mind.

Are you a lead generation agency too?
Yes. For most of the businesses we work with, performance means leads: forms, calls and bookings that turn into real work. We track each one back to the ad that brought it in, and steer budget towards the campaigns that bring in paying customers.
Do you offer influencer marketing?
We don't do influencer outreach or manage talent, and most of our clients manage their own micro or macro influencers. We're then responsible for making the most of the content those influencers create in your ads, including running ads from their accounts as partnership ads (once known as whitelisting) and dark posts.
Do you offer Amazon advertising?
It's not a core focus, because most of the brands we work with sell direct from their own sites and find Amazon's requirements prohibitive, especially for smaller brands. It can be a good expansion marketplace as part of a scaling strategy, though, and at that stage we can support you with advertising there.
How does web development fit in with performance marketing?
They absolutely need to work hand in hand. We rely on trusted partners who focus on the kinds of businesses and platforms we work with, so any web development lines up with your campaigns. When it's the website holding results back, we'll tell you plainly.
Do you work with international clients?
Our agency is based in Melbourne, but we work with clients from all over the world. As long as you're happy to work across timezones and you're ready to partner with an agency that is mad about scaling leads, sales and profit, we'd love to chat with you!
Do you service any large businesses?
Yes. Our team has significant experience with enterprise clients, both in ecommerce and beyond. To name just a few: Adairs, Under Armour, Australian Unity, Public Transport Victoria and Salesforce. We keep a balance of large and smaller companies so every client feels they're getting the best from our team.
What is performance marketing?
Performance marketing is digital marketing measured on results: leads, sales and revenue. You pay for media that can be tracked to an outcome, and budget moves to whatever brings in the best return for your business. Search ads, social ads, shopping ads and programmatic are the most common channels.
How much does a performance marketing agency cost?
Our Google Ads management starts at $3,000 a month, and Meta ads and SEO each start at $5,000 a month. Most brands we work with invest between $3,000 and $20,000 a month with us, plus their ad spend. We give you a fixed quote once we understand your goals.
How soon will we see results?
New campaigns go live in your first month, after we've checked the tracking and agreed the success metrics. We then plan a few months of testing before judging a channel, because early numbers move around and the best mix takes time to show itself.

Social media advertising
Social channels are where your customers spend their days. Whether it's scrolling Reels, watching TikTok or saving ideas on Pinterest, this channel is incredibly powerful for driving traffic and engagement that your brand can then remarket to and turn into sales.
Each digital strategy we create carefully considers the creative direction of all ad messaging, from video ads to images to carousels. On Meta, the creative now does much of the targeting, so we make it in deliberate variations and let the results decide.
Used by more than 3 billion people a month, Facebook is a powerhouse for lead gen and ecommerce brands, and a channel that can be scaled quickly and effectively.
Instagram passed 3 billion monthly users in 2025, so there's no better place for a brand that relies on visuals to be seen. Ads run with Facebook campaigns in Meta Ads Manager.
With more than 1 billion monthly users, if you already post organic content consistently on TikTok, you're ready to put ad spend behind this unbelievably powerful channel.
Around 70% of Pinterest's audience is female, and it reaches more than 650 million people a month. It's highly under-used, which leaves room for brands that sell on looks.
Billions of people watch YouTube every month, yet it's often overlooked. It can drive a steady stream of brand new traffic and sales through video, Shorts and Demand Gen campaigns.
